Stone in London ! but boring ….

The new extension of the British Museum, is let say for a stone mason, boring, very boring. I can not get my head around the boring staking of portland roach stone. It is very much the fashion at the moment to just, like some plain wet cast concrete. Stone has been more simply use or feature and I am a bit puzzled to why such a great Practice, Rodgers, Stirk, Harbour would use stone like this.

Waiting now for 2 other private development in London, Bloosmbury, and Hyde park using Limestone and portland again !
