Peak district as a lot of Holes !

I was surprised to see how the peak district national park was full of quarries. From limestone to sandstone. The man made scars in the landscape are not ugly. They enhance the landscape showing the dedication of men to build great things with the natural surrounding material. No need of crushing the great rocks to create reconstituted stone or wet cast ! Just carve it and enjoy it natural stone states.
