This Week at the Workshop

There are 2 very big projects in progress for The Stonemasonry Company Limited this week, Firstly we are shaping a stunning post tensioned stone staircase, and secondly construction is well under way for the new permanent home of The Stonemasonry Company Limited’s offices and workshop.

Campaspero limestone Steps

Every one of the 48 steps for this bespoke two-flight post tensioned stone staircase will be hand made in our Lincolnshire workshop in preparation for installation at a Central London retail development. The stone, specifically sourced for this project, is Campaspero limestone, from Madrid, a strong and versatile natural stone with lots of beautiful texture and colour. This is our first post tensioned staircase project for a commercial development which poses a new and exciting challenge for our design team, and our engineering partners, as there has been a new set of constraints that we have had to consider and accommodate. We have no doubt that it will be worth all of the hard work when the general public can visit and see this staircase for themselves.

Our new facility- Under Construction

It has always been The Stonemasonry Company Limited’s goal to design and build a purpose built facility for the unique work we do and so we are all incredibly excited to see construction fully underway on our new workshops and offices. With the services being provisioned and the ground works in full swing things are really starting to take shape. The new site will allow work at The Stonemasonry Company Limited to reach greater capacity, it will also mean we have less restrictions than we have at our current facility.
